DEC Dubai Equestrian Club (DEC) was established in 2002 by the decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. DEC organises and host’s quality equestrian sports for the people of Dubai and the UAE in the disciplines of Endurance, Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing at the purpose-built Dubai International Endurance City and its subsidiary Emirates Equestrian Centre.
Responsible for organising and promoting the sport of Endurance, the DEC also serves as a supporter of international equestrian sports and sponsor of select major events. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Endurance Festival is one of the most prominent local races, which runs over a week in March and includes the Ladies ride, Private Stables ride, Gamilati ride for mares and His Highness Sheikh 0’ooMohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup. Moreover, DEC also run the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival held in February which includes the Ladies ride, Private Stables ride, Al Yamamah ride for mares, and the main ride Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup. DEC oversees 32 endurance stables, such as M7 stable, F3 stable, MRM stable.
DRC Horseracing began in the Emirate of Dubai in October 1981, when the dusty Camel Track hosted the first Thoroughbred race meeting. Three races were run – a sprint, a mile and a mile and a half, organised by the office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Approximately 10 years later, in early 1992 the Dubai Racing Club (DRC) was established. DRC serves to organise and host horseracing at Meydan Racecourse, from November through to April, including the Dubai World Cup Carnival and the Dubai World Cup. Serving to further develop and promote horseracing in Dubai, the first races held under rules were contested in March 1992 at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. Dubai World Cup is the highlight of Dubai’s sporting and social calendar and attracts the best horses and riders from all over the world. It is the world’s most spectacular race day with a total prize money of US$30.5 million for the showcase of nine races, including US$12 million at stake in the title contest. Meydan Racecourse is the world’s largest integrated racing facility and the racing season plays a key role in international horse racing. In addition, DRC oversees 15 stables to train and rehabilitate horses.

Testimonials
We have attended the first ever Procurement Forum 2021 held by Dubai Equestrian and Racing
Club. It was a very nice event – fabulous surroundings – well planned – very professional handling and
best of all a very big help before the event in all aspects such as printing – freight e.g. The public
attracted was of very high quality and we would be very happy to be invited again nexttime. We can
only give this event and all people involved in this our very best recommendations
The Dubai Equestrian Procurement Forum’s inaugural event in October was one of the best
exhibitions for the equine industry in the UAE giving us a prime opportunity to meet customers and
potential customers. It will become a key date in our marketing calendar. We wish the organizing
team continued success with their future plans to develop this event as a platform for technological
dispersal and client engagement across the GCC equine community.
It’s been a pleasure for Horse Pilot to discover the Emirates Market during this 1st Edition of the
